One Lucky Mutt: Texas Biker & Country Music Singer Rescues Dog

Brandon Turnbow and the Ballad of Mr. Davidson, the Dog

Brandon Turnbow was riding his Harley to meet his Dad on Valentine's Day when he saw some idiot beating up a dog and toss him by the side of the highway.

Turnbow, who is all tatted up and dressed in leather, sped up to give the guy the finger and then returned to rescue the dog.

Meet Mr. Davidson, the very lucky and now happy mutt. He joins Turnbow's other dog, Harley.

"Was riding out to meet Dad this morning and saw a vehicle pulled over on 171 with a worthless piece of crap beating an innocent little white dog," wrote Turnbow, from Burleson, Texas. "I watched in my rear view and saw this guy throw the dog into the air curbside and drive off. I went after the guy just to give him a number one sign. And I now have a Co-pilot. Meet Mr. DAVIDSON."

Turnbow posted the details on his Facebook page, which, I am guessing, is about to go viral.

The mutt, Mr. Davidson, seems, according to numerous photos, a You Tube video, his very own Facebook page, a website in the works, and a country music ballad composed and sung by Turnbow, to have hit the jackpot.

Turnbow has set up a website called BAAG, Bikers Against Animal Abuse. "I'm not asking for anything but I would like to give support where it's needed - I want to support an animal project that really needs the help. Please contact me. My new site will be Baaag.org (Bikers Against Animal Abuse Global ). I'm needing assistance for setting up my project right. God Bless."

Turnbow, who writes and sings his own songs, has published primarily on YouTube. I am guessing his fan base has expanded like a rocket in recent days.

In January, his Facebook page shows him posting numerous self-authored country ballads he put on his YouTube page.

One had exactly two comments:

Another commentator asked if he was scheduled to play any public gigs. Turnbow answered: "I don't have a complete band at the moment. This is all me. But I'm looking for some serious players. Working on it. Until then I write and create. And create for other writer's."

This week, Turnbow has had tens of thousands of 'likes' and 'shares' on his Facebook page and calls from radio stations for copies of his music.

"Your new co-pilot loves life again cuz of you. This Soldier takes her hat off to you. Ride many miles with Mr Davidson," wrote an Army Sergeant in Nashville. "You come to Nashville any time. I live here. Your music would make it here. I'm going to listen all at work today. My Soldiers are going to be either tired of the music or asking me who it is. I think asking who that was."

"I am radio show presenter, and one of my listeners has requested your song, Mr Davidson, would it be possible to obtain a mp3 copy of the song for my show?" wrote Howdy Brandon of Ian's Country Music Show on 98.8 Castle FM in Texas.

I have a feeling the future is bright for both Mr. Turnbow and Mr. Davidson.
